The story begins when Sean and Maria both swiped right on tinder, yes tinder, on November 20, 2017. After a few days of texting, they set up their first date for the 27th. However, being the anxious person that Maria is, Maria decided she needed to see Sean in person before the date. Maria and her friend decided to get into her car on November 25th, and drive to the township where Sean was working and where he lived at the time. Maria knew that Sean was working the night shift and on his break, and without giving him any warning, she demanded his address from him and then showed up at his house. Seans text to her was “LOL so you’re outside?” It was a quick hello followed by giggles and smiles, but Maria has said since that first night of seeing Sean walk out of his old house, she knew he was the one and that she was going to marry him.

Six years later, Sean and Maria have created a magical life for the two of them and their dog, King. Their life is filled with adventures, cookies, iced lattes, laughter, football, and most of all, love and friendship. The greatest adventure of all was when Sean took Maria to her favorite place, Colorado, in July of 2023. On July 29th, after a two and a half hour hike up a mountain, Sean got down on one knee and asked Maria to marry him.

And that leads us here…… because two people in the woods is the start of a fairytale.
